Christmas is round the corner and, according to top secret sources, Santa Claus has almost finished packing his bags for the super milk-and-cookies-flavoured worldwide delivery!
In the meanwhile, in Middle Earth, the news of Santa’s imminent arrival have leaked and the hobbits are already drooling over the thought of finding cookies and sparkling magical items under the Christmas trees. The dwarves accuse the hobbits of being naive while they secretly dream of waking up on Christmas Day and finding huge beer kegs and piles of gold in their Christmas socks. Or better, next to their socks (for it is a known fact that dwarven socks are too petite for a decent beer keg). Plus there is a rumor going on, that this year the Santa has hired Elves to help him; now the elves can never be trusted! As for the Men, they are too busy asking aid from adventurers and looking at the Rangers suspiciously. They sure need to be snapped out of it!
The rumor of Santa’s arrival have reached the ears of the Foodies as well and they decided they are definitely not willing to let Santa Claus get all the glory for himself this year! Plus they are really worried the Santa is overworked and may fail to provide superb cheesecake-y gifts to the Foodies; now that would be a disaster! So they decided to take the matters into their own hands: Every one of the participants decided to designate themselves as a Secret Santa for another Foodie and pick a super awesome-cheesecake-y gift for them.
How successful will the Secret Food-Santas be? This remains to be seen!

About entering the event:
- This event is open to the kinship members only. Friends from outside the kinship cannot participate; for possible exceptions please contact the kinship leader, Sibba.
- Every member of the kinship has to apply for the event. Applications for participation are open until Wednesday, the 18th of December. In order to apply send an ingame mail to Sibba or miofli with the title “Secret Santa event”. Players who will have not send a mail until the aforementioned date will not be included to the Secret Santa list. This means you will not be asked to act as a Secret Santa and that you will not receive any gifts from another Secret Santa (within the event).
How will it work?
Every participant will receive a name of a fellow player for whom they are to act as a Secret Santa. As a Secret Santa you will have to come up with a present for the player you were assigned to. You are not allowed to reveal to others the name of the player for whom you are acting as a Secret Santa.
The Master Santa will be Sibba. He will collect all the gifts from the Secret Santas and will be responsible for the delivery of the presents to the participants on the second day of Christmas, on Thursday the 26th of December. Secret Santas need to have sent in their chosen presents to the Master Santa via in game mail until Tuesday the 24th of December, 11.59 pm /servertime at the latest.
About the presents
The minimum value of the present selected is 5 gold pieces for the Secret Santas that have one character of level 50 or higher. For the players with no characters over level 50 the minimum value of the present is defined as 5 gold pieces as well but they will be receiving help from the Master Santa to be able to make meets end and provide a decent present.
There is not a maximum value for the presents; bear in mind though that this is basically a within the kinship item exchange as a result don’t go over the top but, in the spirit of Christmas giving, try not to be stingy as well.
Since you will know who will be receiving your present, please take the other member’s needs into consideration. In order to help you with that, every participant will be asked to fill in a small questionnaire and the Master Santa will not only send you the name of the player you will have to find a present for, but some details that will help you decide what is best.
You cannot spend Turbine Points for a present. Besides, anything you buy with TP is bound to account.
